Mercedes: The Oldest Trick... when did this begin, and what inspired it?

 

Lawrence: Well, my son Aaron had a school assignment to write about an actual city or village, with a main character. He asked for my assistance, and when we found this area, Zennor Head, there were pics of breathtaking cliff's on the coastlines shores of England.  So, it was that area and my son, I guess you could say that inspired it.

 

Mercedes: And the formula for the story... what spurred that?

 

Lawrence: Looking at the cliff's, I just imagined what might have happened at one time there, and I could see a struggle possibly taking place ...maybe a third person. My imagination just took off.

 

Mercedes: So how old is this story?

 

Lawrence: Well, Aarons now 20??? I would say about five or six years old... in fact, around 1997.

 

Mercedes: You mentioned having written other stories, but you lost track of them, what made you hold onto this one?

 

Lawrence: You know...I'm not sure. But I'm glad I did.

 

Mercedes: Well I'm glad you did too. I was quite taken with the story, and excited about having it featured here at Amber Swann Publishing. Especially now, with a little encouraging prod from me, you will be continuing it...(grin & a wink)...lol.

 

Lawrence: Yes - well you do have your way of getting me to do things...don't you? (Loaded, simpering question)

 

Mercedes: (blush) Only the ways that work - (lol) - anyway ... (sigh)...I can't wait for the next chapters...as I'm sure the readers will agree, Dave Penhaligan is turning out to be, quite the journey man indeed. Oh and by the way, what grade did he get on the story?

 

Lawrence: None, he didn't use it. Said it didn't look like something he'd write. Oh well...

 

Mercedes: Oh well is right, we'll see how Dave's life takes off here...
